The P-Square music duo’s Peter Okoye has disclosed his worst fear in life. In an interview with Nancy Isime on Monday, Peter stated that he did not fear death.
He disclosed his biggest concern, stating that poverty was the only thing he feared in this world.
The singer said, “I’m not afraid of death,” while describing his family’s poverty. Poverty is the only thing I fear in this life. It’s breaking.
“I have tested it before. I have been in our house with our parents, and a bulldozer came and demolished the house.
“We were living in a one-bedroom flat with me, my mom, my father, like the whole family. Six boys and two girls live in a one-bedroom apartment.
“They have to divide the room with a curtain. So, the landlord has sold the compound and we’re trying to plead to give us some time.
“The next thing, we were at home, then a bulldozer came and demolished it. We have tasted poverty before”, he said.

Just last week, Peter Okoye broke down in tears as he described a trying time in his life when his then-girlfriend Lola became pregnant when he was 27.
In a recent video that he shared on his Instagram page, Peter talked about the experience and stated that he chose to make the pregnancy public since he did not want the news to come from someone else.
He claims that after he and his group won an award at the Soundcity Awards, the announcement was made
He said, “When I was 27 years old, my girlfriend then, Lola, became pregnant. I didn’t want the news to break from someone else, so I decided to announce it myself.
“We attended the Soundcity Awards, and after receiving the award, I dedicated it to God Almighty, our fans, and everyone who had supported us.
“Lastly, I dedicated it to the mother of my unborn child. Immediately after that, Jude and Paul walked out, saying my announcement would ruin our careers.
“They insisted that Lola should abort the baby. They even forged an email to frame her, claiming the child wasn’t mine and accusing her of using the pregnancy to trap me.”
In July 2025, Peter Okoye fired back at his ex-manager and elder brother, Jude Okoye, for saying he was “struggling financially” after Psquare split.
The public feud reignited last week when Jude shared a cryptic message on Instagram, accusing unnamed individuals of greed, betrayal, and fabricating fraud allegations against him.
