Actress Regina Chukwu has condemned verbal abuse in relationships, stating that it is equally as damaging as physical abuse.
Addressing men, Chukwu, in an Instagram post, addresses the effect of hurtful words. She stated this can have a lasting impact on a woman’s emotional well-being. This also causes irreparable damage to her heart, confidence, and peace.
According to Chukwu, the effects of verbal abuse can be profound and long-lasting, altering the dynamics of a relationship forever. She urged men to be mindful of their words and to treat their partners with respect and kindness.
“Verbally abusing your woman is just as bad as hitting her, because those words echo in places no apology can reach.
“You might not leave marks on her skin, but you’ll leave damage on her heart, her confidence, and her peace. And once a woman’s peace is gone, you’ll never get the same version of her again,” she wrote.

Despite their close relationship, Big Brother Naija Season 10 finalist Kola Omotosho has stated that he is unable to date or wed Opeyemi Ayanwale, also known as Imisi, the season’s victor.
On the reality show, viewers suspected a romantic relationship between Kola and Imisi because they were so close.
On the show, Kola and Imisi remained platonic despite their chemistry, even calling each other siblings.

In response to a fan during a recent livestream, Kola addressed the matter by stating that Imisi is his “sister” and emphasizing that he is unable to date or wed her.
“Imisi is my sister, I can’t marry my sister. Imisi is in her house, I am in my house. Please, can we make this about me?,” he yelled at fans pressuring him about dating Imisi.
Kola was romantically attracted to Dede during the show, but their relationship remained platonic, as she was in a committed relationship outside.
Dede stated in a post-show interview that she still would not have dated Kola even if she had been single, adding that they are not compatible.
