Seun Kuti has finally responded to the widely circulated rumours that he stormed out of Peller’s wedding.
Social media sources claim that after one of the MCs made jokes regarding the contentious “Wizkid is bigger than Fela” dispute, Seun stormed out of the event.
Seun was heard saying, “We are in the wrong place,” as he was seen departing in a widely shared video.
One of the MCs came out to accuse Seun of having anger management issues, which caused uproar on the internet.
In response to the rumours, Seun Kuti denied leaving the event out of rage after being approached by Fuji singer Malaika at Fela’s Shrine in Lagos.
Seun explained that he was at the wedding till the evening and left for an event at his father’s shrine around 8:30 pm.

When confronted by Malaika, Seun said: “I left the Peller’s wedding about 8:30 pm. I came to the Shrine. There’s an event at the Shrine, and I have to be there. But bloggers were saying I left angrily. Was I supposed to be dancing when I was hurriedly leaving the place for another event?”
In January, Wizkid dragged Seun Kuti amid a debate on who was bigger between him and legend Fela.
During a number of recent livestreams, Seun Kuti allegedly attacked Wizkid and his followers, criticising the celebrity several times.
Amid the backlash, Wizkid broke his silence, addressing Seun Kuti’s remarks on both Instagram and X.
Responding on his Instagram story, he wrote: “I big pass your papa!! Wetin you don do? I’m Big Wiz every day. ”I Big Pass Your Papa.”
On his X handle, he added, “Ok, everybody better pass Wizkid! Can we all sleep now? Fela fight for freedom, this fool dey fight FC! Oloshi Omo ale!”
