Actress and content creator Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, better aka Kiekie, has stated that brand alignment affects her choices about partnerships in the entertainment sector.
In a recent podcast interview, Kiekie described the factors she takes into account when collaborating with other content producers.
She claims that she would not work with sketch creators whose material she deems excessively offensive or disgusting.
“I would never collaborate with any skit maker who is too vulgar. I will not be able to collaborate with them,” she said.

She explained that such partnerships would not align with the image and values of her personal brand.
When asked to mention specific names, she said she did not have anyone in particular in mind.
However, she noted that she has observed content from some creators that focuses heavily on suggestive themes and bodily display.

Although she doesn’t mind such content, she stated that it doesn’t align with the future of her brand.
Kiekie went on to explain that her refusal to work with some creators was not a sign of disrespect.
Although she acknowledged the efforts of other innovators in the field, she highlighted that such partnerships would not be appropriate for her due to differences in brand positioning.
She pointed out that collaborations that don’t align with her brand could have an impact on how her audience and business partners view her work.
“I don’t have a name for one, but I have seen quite a number of them. So if you’re too much breasts, bumbum, not that I have a problem with it, but it’s just brand alignment.
“My inability to collaborate with you doesn’t mean that I look down on what you do or I don’t respect what you do or I don’t see your hard work. I recognise your hard work, but we just don’t align. It will affect the way my own brands are approaching my own work,” she added.
