According to the Telegraph, Galatasaray are interested in Arsenal duo Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri. So, during the discussions between both clubs, Osimhen’s name came up, with Arsenal showing interest in Osimhen.
Potentially, the deal could involve a player plus cash arrangement.
It’s obvious Osimhen wants to move. He has not worn the captain’s armband in Galatasaray’s last two pre-season games despite being named the club’s official captain and being given the No. 9 jersey.
Galatasaray have also dropped his asking price from €75m to €65m, another indication that he could be on the move this summer.
Victor Osimhen joined Galatasaray on September 4, 2024, initially arriving from Napoli on a season-long loan. After an outstanding first season, the Turkish giants made his move permanent in July 2025 in a deal worth €75 million.
Since joining Galatasaray, Osimhen has established himself as one of the club’s most important players, scoring 61 goals and providing 16 assists in all competitions.
The Nigeria international has also lifted three trophies with Galatasaray. He was part of the team that won the 2024/25 Turkish Süper Lig and Turkish Cup, before helping the club retain the Süper Lig title in the 2025/26 season.
