Witnesses say that a tanker explosion in Dan Magaji, Zaria, Kaduna State, has resulted in several fatalities.
Around 8:30 a.m. on Monday, the event happened close to Rochas Foundation School on the Kaduna–Kano motorway bypass, which runs from Kwangila to Dan Magaji.
Witnesses informed security expert Zagazola Makama, who shared the news on his X account, that two tankers loaded with petrol and two Golf vehicles carrying passengers were involved in the collision. Five tremendous explosions were set off by the accident, and the roadway was thereafter enveloped in heavy smoke and a huge fire.

“All the occupants of the cars died on the spot, except one driver who survived but sustained severe burns,” a witness said.
Emergency services and security personnel have cordoned off the area, advising motorists to avoid the route while rescue and recovery efforts continue.
