Famous Nigerian musician Fuji Saheed has disclosed that he uses voodoo and other traditional spiritual practices to improve his life and further his career.
Speaking during the 52nd birthday celebration of veteran actor Fatai Odua, popularly known as Lalude, on March 30, Osupa encouraged others to explore such practices to improve focus and memory.
He explained that voodoo is a tool for both professional and personal growth rather than a fetish in a video that went viral on Wednesday.
Osupa noted that he performs daily obeisance to Ifa, highlighting its role in complementing conventional efforts for success.
He said, “Somebody told me one time to grant an interview, denying that I’m a fetish person, but I told him that I am, and why should I deny it. I didn’t kill anyone with my juju or commit evil with it. I am only looking for how to progress. Nothing more.
“That’s why anytime I wake, I always pay obeisance to my Ifa. I don’t know the deity beyond it, because it is worth paying homage to.

“If I don’t engage in voodoo, what else should I have employed? Is it Phensic or Panadol that will make me successful? It is not good to be poor and still not live a good life. Even if one is not enormously rich, one should enjoy comfort.”
“Everybody practises voodoo. While some hide behind the scenes to do theirs, I do mine in the open. All those talks of mine that I rely solely on the Bible and the Quran are pure lies.”
In April 2025, Controversial Singer, Portable, was released on bail after an online feud with Fuji star Saheed Osupa.
It was learnt that Portable had a clean shave of his multi-coloured hair before his release.
His release followed the withdrawal of the petition against him by Saheed Osupa, who was in Ilorin for the case.
Official sources at the Oke-Kura custodial centre in Ilorin informed our correspondent that Portable was released 3:30 pm on Tuesday after a variation of his bail conditions by the authorities.
Two of his wives were with him at the time of his release by the prison authorities at the Oke-Kura custodial centre.
