Late Sunday night, a violent attack was carried out by suspected herders on Tse Yange, a Tiv-dominated hamlet in Nasarawa State’s Obi Local Government Area.

During the invasion, the assailants allegedly murdered the village chief and kidnapped a number of locals.
According to information obtained by The Intercept, the gunmen used motorcycles to invade the rural town throughout the night, causing chaos and fear.
A local source revealed that the assault lasted into the early hours of Monday, leaving many people injured and several homes deserted.
