Separate bandit raids in Zamfara and Sokoto states have resulted in at least five fatalities and several kidnappings.
Bakatsine, a security analyst, posted information about the attacks on X on Monday.
The article claims that the attacks took place in three distinct villages in a single day.
Two persons were hurt by bandits in the Damri hamlet of Bakura Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara, but they fled without taking anybody hostage.

Bandits, however, raided the Birnin Tsaba hamlet in Zurmi LGA of Zamfara early on Monday morning in another attack, killing two people, stealing valuables, and rustling livestock.
A more lethal incident occurred in Sokoto State’s Dabagi village, Dange-Shuni LGA, on Sunday evening. Three inhabitants were slain by bandits, and an undetermined number of men and women were abducted.
“Yesterday night, bandits attacked Dabagi community in Dange-Shuni LGA, Sokoto State. They killed three people and kidnapped an unspecified number of people both male and female during the attack,” Bakatsine wrote.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
