According to Primate Elijah Ayodele, founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, President Bola Tinubu would not be able to serve a second term if he wins the 2027 presidential election
The priest hinted that Vice-President Kashim Shettima would succeed Tinubu before his term ends in a video that was made public on Tuesday.
The clergyman said that if Tinubu were to finish his current term and win an additional four years in government, prayers would be necessary for his health.
Rather than a curse against the President, he characterised the statement as a warning based on what he called divine revelation.
Ayodele referred to the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, who died in office in 2010 after a prolonged illness, as a possible precedent.
“If Tinubu wins the second time, he will not finish it. I stand by my word, he will not finish it. What happened to Yar’Adua or whatever that will make him not to finish it will lead to an emergency government, making Shettima take over from him, might happen.

“Tinubu will not finish his second term, thus says the Lord of hosts,” Ayodele declared.
He further alleged that individuals around the President were shielding him from opinions and messages that could challenge his decisions.
Earlier this month, Primate Elijah Ayodele stated that Nigerian bishops who recently supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term did so out of hunger.
Primate Ayodele said that the bishops’ backing was motivated by self-interest rather than a heavenly mandate in a statement signed by his media assistant, Osho Oluwatosin.
The man of God denounced the bishops and warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to get too excited over the endorsement, calling it phoney.
“Bishops endorsing President Tinubu are hungry and looking for what to eat. They didn’t do that endorsement because they love Tinubu but because they need some things from him. They just want to secure their next meal, and that is why they are singing the praises of the president. The president must exercise caution before expressing joy over the endorsement because it is totally fake.”
“They are not doing it based on divine orders or God’s direction; there is no way God would give such direction. They are only lying on God’s name because of food; it’s such a bad thing that these bishops reduced the name of God to this level.”
