NFF appoints Eguavoen as Super Falcons interim coach.
The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed former Super Eagles coach and player Augustine Eguavoen as the interim coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria, according to Eagles Trackers.
Eguavoen succeeds Justin Madugu, who was sacked on August 17, 2026, following the Super Falcons’ disappointing 2026 WAFCON campaign and failure to qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
According to Eagles Trackers, the former Super Eagles player and coach will be assisted by Christopher Danjuma, the current head coach of Nigeria Women’s Football League side Nasarawa Amazons.
Former Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Olatunji Baruwa will serve as the goalkeeper trainer.
Former Super Falcons defender Ayisat Yusuf will also serve as one of the assistant coaches.
More details to follow once it is made official.
