Pastor Jerry Eze leads thousands of worshippers at Old Trafford
Old Trafford took on a different atmosphere on Saturday as thousands of Christians gathered at Manchester United’s iconic stadium for the 2026 NSPPD UK Prayer Conference led by Nigerian pastor Jerry Eze.
The event, organised by Streams of Joy International, brought worshippers together for hours of prayers, worship and declarations.
The conference was held at Old Trafford on Saturday, September 26, with admission free but registration required because of limited spaces.
The gathering attracted believers from different parts of the United Kingdom and beyond, turning the home of Manchester United into a large prayer ground for the day.
Old Trafford, which currently has a capacity of 74,310, is one of the biggest and most recognisable football stadiums in the UK.
Eze, the convener of NSPPD and lead pastor of Streams of Joy International, is known for the daily NSPPD prayer programme, which has built a large following both online and in physical gatherings.
The conference also featured gospel ministers and musicians, adding worship and live music to the prayer gathering.
The sight of worshippers filling a stadium best known for football created a striking scene in Manchester as the NSPPD movement brought its prayer meeting to one of the world’s most famous sporting venues.
