Former Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been handed a six-month driving ban in England after failing to provide information identifying the driver of his Rolls-Royce when the vehicle was caught speeding in Cheshire.
According to court records reported by The Independent, the vehicle was recorded by a speed camera travelling at 36mph in a 30mph zone in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on March 27.
Salah, 34, failed to respond to a notice of prosecution issued by Cheshire Constabulary requiring information about who was driving the vehicle at the time.
He also did not enter a plea to the charge and was subsequently prosecuted at Warrington Combined Court under the Single Justice Procedure.
A court spokeswoman confirmed that Salah was convicted of failing to provide information relating to the identification of the driver of the Rolls-Royce.
The Egypt captain was subsequently disqualified from driving for six months and ordered to pay £1,044.
The incident occurred shortly after Salah announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the 2025/26 season. He has since moved to Turkey, where he currently plays for Trabzonspor.
