Nigerian TikTok celebrity Habeeb Hamzat, aka Peller, is begging critics to be easy on him, stressing that he is barely 20 and still learning.
Peller has been the subject of criticism due to his controversial remarks during his TikTok livestreams.
In a statement released via his Instagram page, Peller stated that it is strange for a teenager to be criticised the way he has been criticised.

He also claimed that his critics focus on the few-second clips he blunders while ignoring the entertainment he provides.
“I streamed almost 6 hours, but a 30-second clip with good intention is being pushed to paint me wrongly. This happens often, negative clips get picked while the hours of work and joy are ignored,” he lamented.
“I’m just 20, still figuring life out, trying to provide for myself and my family. Sometimes it feels like people don’t care if I break down or even lose myself in the process.
“I’ve never seen a 20-year- old dragged, put down, and torn apart like I am… but every single time, I rise again.”

In July, Peller, has explained what made him drop Islam and embrace Christianity.
He confessed during a live session with fans when a viewer addressed him as a Muslim, prompting him to clarify his current faith.
“I’m not a Muslim. I go to church very well,” he stated.
Peller attributed his spiritual transformation to a painful experience from his childhood, stating that during his enrollment in a Quranic school, he faced harsh physical punishment, which left a lasting emotional impact.
The TikTok streamer revealed that the experience was traumatic, ultimately leading him to discontinue his Islamic education.
Peller believes this early experience significantly influenced his spiritual path and guided him toward Christianity.
He said, “I was beaten severely when I was young at the Quranic school. That’s why I stopped going.”
In another interview, he spoke about the burden of being the breadwinner of his family.
In a conversation with fellow TikToker Sandra Benede, the 19-year-old lamented that he is the breadwinner of his family despite his parents and elder siblings being alive.
Peller expressed that because he is the one saddled with the family’s financial responsibilities, he sometimes feels like he is a parent.
