Nigerian content producer Gehgeh and the President of the GehGeh School of Marriage have addressed netizens who have criticised his marriage to his lover.
In defiance of his marital lessons, Gehgeh, who is currently being harassed on social media, got wedded in an intimate ceremony on Saturday.
Many Nigerians, particularly his followers, including some well-known celebrities, have continued to criticise Gehgeh in response to his wedding video.
Some said Gehgeh’s marriage-related teachings wrecked their marriages, while many accused him of betrayal.
However, speaking amid the backlash, Gehgeh asked his followers – who have been attending his online school of marriage – if he ever told them not to get married.

He wrote on X, “I never for once told y’all not to get married. Did I? If yes show me a video of me telling you not to marry.”
Shortly after his question, fans flooded social media with videos of him vowing never to get married or keep any relationship, and describing marriage as “financial mistake and scam”.
Earlier in April, GehGeh addressed his sister’s allegation of mistreatment.
Despite his wealth, Gehgeh’s younger sister had accused him of ignoring her and the other siblings, claiming that she was turned away from his housewarming event.
Many Nigerians responded to the accusations by criticising him on social media.
Speaking amid the backlash, GehGeh, in a video on his Instagram page, stated that “I never get the kind of money wey fit raise a family from poverty. I can only do my best and not my all.”
Narrating how he has supported his family in the past, the content creator, who claimed to have bought the phone her sister is currently using, told her siblings to go and get a job and stop depending on him.
