Singer Sean Tizzle is paying tribute to Sound Sultan. Sound Sultan died of cancer in July 2021.
Describing the late music legend as his mentor, Tizzle said he wished he had told Sultan how much he impacted his life and career before he passed away.
He explained that it took him many years to find “the right words” to pay tribute to the late icon because he was “scared they wouldn’t be enough.”
He noted that Sound Sultan discovered his talent and supported him even before the world noticed his potential.

The ‘Shole’ crooner stated that Sound Sultan didn’t just teach him music but also “humility, grace, and the importance of using my voice for more than just melodies.”
He noted that the late singer was a “selfless” individual, who gave without expecting anything in return.

“I wish I had said this earlier, to your face. I wish I had hugged you tighter. But now, I say it to the world: Thank you, Sound Sultan. I am because you were. I carry your spirit with me always,” Sean Tizzle added in a lengthy Instagram post.
Popular Nigerian rapper CDQ has revealed what made him quit his banking profession to become a full-time musician.
He explained that he became a banker to fulfill his late father’s wish but didn’t find fulfillment in the job.

Speaking in a recent interview with the Echo Room, the ‘Nowo Soke’ crooner stated that he decided to quit after he found himself writing lyrics during work hours instead of doing his job.
CDQ shared that his friend, music producer Masterkraft, who was accommodating and borrowing him suits to wear to the bank was shocked when he told him he has quit his job to focus on music.
