Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has talked about some of the difficulties she faced early in her career.
In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, the movie star disclosed that ridiculous screenplays were her biggest obstacle.
She remembers being offered a script to sleep with a dog, but she turned it down because she thought accepting it as her first Nollywood job would damage her reputation.
“Despite being a newcomer, I was given a script to sleep with a dog. I rejected it because I can’t start off my career like that. Imagine my first ever movie, I am sleeping with a dog. It doesn’t make sense. It is going to be a tag because whatever you start with is what people would associate you with. I didn’t want to be renowned as someone who sleeps with dogs in movies.
“So, I rejected that script. But immediately, I threw it down, so many girls grabbed it. I’m not sure any of them are in the limelight today,” she stated.

Nkechi Blessing said after she left the production venue, she met veteran Nollywood filmmaker Emeka Duru, who offered to work with her.
She added that Duru eventually allowed her to make her debut in the film ‘Through The Fire’ by Imem Isong.
An Instagram live session organized by media personality Daddy Freeze took an unexpected turn when musician 2Baba and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, were heard in the background having a heated quarrel, an incident that has since gone viral on social media.
The incident originated from charges made against Natasha by 2Baba’s previous management team, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, who appeared on Daddy Freeze’s live session.
The management charged Natasha with wanting “full control” over 2Baba’s personal and professional life during the show.
They also highlighted other heated episodes, including an airport confrontation and a personal quarrel that nearly required police involvement.
The situation escalated when 2Baba abruptly joined the live session, telling the former managers to “shut the fvck up” and stop discussing his private affairs.
Shortly after, loud arguments between him and Natasha were audible off-camera, with their voices growing increasingly heated before the broadcast was cut.
