Singer Niniola has made a comeback to the music scene on Friday with a new tune called “Raining” months after her husband, Michael Ndika, passed away
In a heartfelt letter to her fans, the singer revealed the new project, claiming that the song perfectly captures emotions she has found difficult to articulate after the devastating loss.
“Some feelings are too deep for words, so I put them in a song, Raining (O du mi), Friday”, she said.
The declaration is a significant turning point in the singer’s path as she progressively returns to music following the death of her husband in May 2026.
In a series of heartfelt posts, Niniola had already revealed Michael’s passing and said that they had been together for thirteen years.

Michael, whom the singer called her best friend and who also served as her business manager, passed very unexpectedly.

Earlier in August, the singer candidly discussed the challenges of adjusting to life without him since his passing.
Two months after his death, in July, she referred to herself as a young widow and acknowledged that the experience had been quite challenging.
“Some days are good; some days are just painfully indescribable. What do I do with myself? Where do I start from? So many things left undone and unsaid. So many emotions I am unable to put into words,” she said.
In the video, which was shared on her Instagram page, the singer pays him a surprise visit while he was ill by showing up at the hospital with balloons and a “get well soon” card.
Niniola shared her sorrow in the post, saying that although she had prayed as much as she could, she was still having difficulty accepting his passing.
“I prayed. God knows that I prayedddd hard. Michael Ndika, I need you. Please, please, please, I just want my baby, but they say he’s in a better place. How??? Eleyi dun mi o,” she wrote.
Since then, fans, friends, and coworkers have showered the post with condolences; many of them swamped the comment area with offers of support and prayers for the singer to find strength during this trying time.
