The Concerned National APC Stakeholders Forum has charged its state coordinators, canvassers and grassroots mobilisers to focus on winning voters at the polling-unit level as part of efforts to secure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The Convener and National Coordinator of the forum, Dominic Alancha, gave the charge during the inauguration of the forum’s state coordinators, where he unveiled what he described as the group’s guiding philosophy: “Operation Deliver Your Unit, Deliver Your Ward.”
Alancha said elections were not won at state capitals or in Abuja but through effective mobilisation and coordination at the grassroots.
“My personal philosophy is operation deliver your unit, deliver your ward. Elections are not won at state capitals or in Abuja. Elections are won at the unit level,” he said.
He urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to return to their respective states and work closely with local government, ward and polling-unit coordinators to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure.
According to him, the objective is to coordinate activities aimed at mobilising voters for the APC and its presidential candidate, President Tinubu, ahead of the 2027 presidential and general elections.
Alancha said the strategy would involve delivering individual polling units, wards and local government areas, with the ultimate objective of contributing to the APC’s victory across the country.
While he declined to give a precise target for the number of voters the group expects to mobilise, Alancha said the organisation was committed to mobilising at least five million voters nationwide.
Also speaking at the event, the keynote speaker, Femi Alabi, emphasised the importance of grassroots canvassers and mobilisers to the party’s political strategy.
Alabi said those working directly with citizens could not be overlooked because they were closer to voters than political actors operating from Abuja or other major centres.
He urged the mobilisers to communicate the government’s efforts to citizens at the grassroots while also serving as a channel for transmitting feedback and concerns from the people to the party’s leadership.
According to him, strengthening the connection between government, party structures and citizens would help ensure that the impact of government programmes was effectively communicated at the grassroots.
The speakers therefore urged the newly inaugurated coordinators and canvassers to translate the party’s political strategy into sustained grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.
