Nollywood stars Wumi Toriola and Seyi Edun have renewed their friendship after years of conflict.
The two former best friends’ reconciliation became public when Seyi celebrated Wumi’s birthday and revealed that they have chosen “growth, understanding and a fresh start.”
While tagging their feud as a test of time, Seyi wrote on Instagram
“They say time and distance can test a friendship, but they can also prove how deep the roots go together. Reconnecting with you has been one of the highlights of my year, and it reminded me of the beautiful bond we have always had.”

“Our reconnection has shown me just how much our bond matters. I’m so glad we chose growth, understanding, and a fresh start”, she said.
Confirming the development, Wumi wrote in the comments section
“Ashabi, I genuinely miss us. Love you so much, dear friend, and thanks for the huge gift. I’m grateful we came back to our senses. Love you.”
The fight between the two best friends started in October 2020 after Seyi Edun publicly ignored Wumi’s son Zion’s one-year birthday.

Seyi failed to celebrate him on social media and was also not seen at the birthday party despite her bond with the mother.
Following the development, Wumi called out Seyi and mocked her for her inability to have a child.
Their fight intensified in June 2021 when Wumi also ignored Seyi on her birthday.
In April 2025, Wumi Toriola opened up about her desire to have more children with her ex-husband. Toriola got married in 2018 and welcomed her first child named Zion a year later.
In January 2023, the movie star confirmed her separation from her partner in a lengthy Instagram post.
In a recent interview with TVC, Toriola opened up about her personal life and decision to temporarily step away from relationships and marriage.
The actress said despite their separation, she and her ex-husband have been able to maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship.
She expressed her desire to have more children with her former partner.
“For now, I don’t want to go into marriage. I don’t want to go into a relationship because I have plans to have more kids with my ex-husband,” Wumi Toriola said.
