Nigerian artist Qudus Fakoya Olatunji, better known by his stage name Qdot, was robbed and assaulted at gunpoint in his Lagos home on Sunday.
According to reports, armed individuals burst into his house at around 2:30 in the morning.
In addition to reportedly transferring funds from his bank accounts, the attackers took away his phones and laptops. It was also reported that they were able to access his social media accounts.
In a post on X, talent manager Dami Adenuga verified the occurrence and cautioned the public not to trust any dubious messages or requests for money from the artists’ accounts.
He wrote:
“Nigerian singer Qdot was attacked and robbed at gunpoint in his home around 2:30 a.m. today. The armed robbers carted away his phones, laptops, and transferred all funds from his accounts.
“They also gained access to his social media accounts. The public is hereby urged to disregard any suspicious messages, posts, or financial requests coming from Qdot’s accounts at this time.”
The Lagos State Police Command had not yet released an official statement on the subject as of the time of publication.
The 35-year-old Qdot is well-known for fusing Afrobeats and Fuji in songs like Jegele, Gbese, and Alomo Meta.

With his street-inspired style, he has amassed a sizable fan base over the years and is still regarded as one of the prominent voices in Nigeria’s modern music landscape.

After initially splitting up in 2019 due to reported adultery, the pair got back together in 2021.
Yeye_kudi_courtroom, a well-known blogger and influencer, posted an apology on her Instagram profile that was attributed to the actor.
According to the post, Bolanle Ninalowo admitted to past transgressions, such as adultery and marital neglect.
In the comment area, Ninalowo refuted the assertion, calling the post “nonsense,” and attacked the blogger personally.
The actor boasted that he was “proudly bold of it” to have decided to divorce his ex-wife.
“You must be a mad human to post this nonsense! Very unintelligent and uneducated woman. Get the fuck off my case and focus on your cartoon existence. I have been separated and divorced since September 2023 & proudly bold of it”.
The couple got married in 2007 and shares two children, Aaliyah and Morakinyo together.
