Taylor Swift, a well-known American singer, has denied feeling envious of Selena Gomez, her best friend and fellow pop star, by being married before her.
Taylor Swift attended the wedding of Selena Gomez and producer Benny Blanco in late September.
Later, there were rumours that Swift made a joke during her wedding speech about Gomez beating her to the altar.
In response to the rumours, Taylor said she made a joke about how she and Gomez dressed years ago but didn’t make the wedding about her when she recently appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
During her address, she “made a point to not mention anything about my engagement,” she said.
She added the she was happy to witness Selena Gomez’s wedding.
“I did do some light teasing about the way we dressed in 2008, the year we met. It was the year of deep, deep V-neck.
“It was the year of colorful skinny jeans. I talked about how happy I am for her and just how beautiful it’s been to get to be a part of her life, but I did not make it about me,” Swift explained.

The “Cruel Summer” singer also explained why she kept her engagement to Travis Kelce a secret from her buddy Ed Sheeran.
She claims that the English singer can only be contacted via FaceTime or email because she does not own a phone.
