The legendary American hip-hop artist Trevor Smith Jr., aka Busta Rhymes, has made references to moving to Nigeria and marrying a Nigerian.
Midway through his performance at the Detty December Fest in Lagos over the weekend, the 53-year-old rapper made the comments.
He clarified that when he retires, he wants to move to Nigeria and start a family.
Busta Rhymes noted that his trip to Nigeria was “special,” stressing that it took him 15 years.

“I’m looking for a home here; I’m looking for property. I’m thinking about looking for a wife so that when I stop working, I can settle down here,” he added.
The rapper is not married and has never been married. However, he is a father of six children with four different women.

Authorities further revealed that the matter has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a thorough probe, noting that Peller will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
Reacting to the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, warned social media influencers and digital content creators against encouraging or showcasing reckless acts online, emphasizing that such behavior will attract firm consequences.
Meanwhile, TikTok celebrity Jarvis has come out in the face of severe criticism and online mockery regarding her partner Peller’s mental health issue.
Remember that after an alleged altercation with Jarvis, Peller attempted suicide and crashed his car, causing a great deal of conjecture and ridicule on social media.
In defense of Peller, Jarvis has urged the public to stop making fun of him and instead show compassion, saying that he needs support to recover.
“Please, you guys should stop mocking Peller. All he needs is encouragement to get better. Stop using our pain to mock us,” she said.
She described Peller as a kind and gentle person who needs support to recover and find the strength to return online.
“Peller is a very sweet boy and needs your support to come back online. I love him, but we need to be okay. I’m not okay,” she added.
