Rapper Omoniyi Raphael, better known by his stage name Zlatan Ibile, has married Davita, his long-time companion, in Lagos.
One of this weekend’s most talked-about entertainment events is the wedding, which took place under the hashtag #DTTheUnion.
This morning, Zlatan and Davita set the tone by posting pre-wedding photos to Instagram. In these photos, they were dressed in ornate traditional Benin clothing that was embellished with coral beads.
The singer wore a traditional white outfit with red bead trimmings and coral necklaces, while Davita stunned in a deep red beaded off-shoulder gown with a matching headpiece.
The singer announced the October 8 date in a “Save the Date” video narrated by their son, who said, “When I think about love, I think about my mommy and daddy.”
The couple, who share two sons, Toluwalase (born in 2020) and Benaiah (born in 2024), reportedly held a private civil ceremony before today’s public celebration.
The ceremony has drawn a star-studded guest list.

In October 2025, Zlatan Ibile revealed that he quit smoking and hasn’t smoked in four years.
The ‘Zanku’ crooner made this known during an interactive session with fans on Snapchat recently.
Responding to a fan who asked if he still smokes, Zlatan revealed that he quit smoking four years ago.
He wrote:
“A day can’t pass without someone asking me this question. Yes, I quit smoking 4 years ago. And I have no issues with smokers.”
In recent times, several Nigerian musicians have publicly announced that they quit or are trying to quit smoking, including Don Jazzy, Peruzzi, Tekno, and Kizz Daniel.
Davido also pledged in 2018 that he would be “quitting soon” after being inspired by Don Jazzy’s success.
Zlatan Ibile has disclosed that his parents initially reacted suspiciously to his unexpected wealth.
The Zanku crooner stated in a recent episode of the YACN podcast that he purchased a home for his parents in Lekki, a posh suburb in Lagos, following his rise to fame in 2019. However, they declined the gift because they didn’t know how he got his wealth, which seemed unexpected to them.
