Customs warns Nigerians against fake recruitment update
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has warned Nigerians to ignore a fake recruitment update circulating on social media, saying the information did not originate from the agency.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, the NCS spokesperson, Abdullahi Maiwada, described the recruitment notice as false and urged members of the public to rely only on official communication channels for verified information.
Maiwada advised job seekers and the general public to remain vigilant against misleading recruitment claims, stressing that any genuine recruitment announcement would be published through the service’s verified platforms.
He also cautioned Nigerians against sharing unverified information, noting that confirming updates through official NCS communication channels would help prevent the spread of misinformation.
