Nollywood actress and evangelist Eucharia Anunobi, a seasoned veteran, has talked candidly about the difficult time she had while married to her ex-husband, Charles Ekwu.
Speaking at an Instagram-shared visit on The Honest Bunch Podcast, the actress broke down in tears as she described the difficulties she encountered during her marriage.
Anunobi insisted that her story was accurate while speaking directly to her ex-husband during the interview.
“Charles Ekwu, if you see this video, just know I am not lying against you,” she said.

The actress revealed that despite warnings from her parents, she chose to remain in the marriage with hopes that things would improve.
“I still held onto the marriage believing that it’s alright, we will be fine. He’s the same person that said he would be there with me through thick and thin,” she said tearfully.
According to her, the union became emotionally and financially difficult as she claimed she was the one carrying most of the responsibilities.

“He is the same person that my parents said, ‘Eucharia, this guy is not it for you.’ I was the one doing everything. Charles never brought one naira,” Anunobi stated.
In January, Eucharia Anunobi threatened legal action against Psalm Okpe, the founder of Fresh Oil Ministry International Church, amid allegations that they were sexually linked for over five years.
A leaked audio tape of Okpe and another clergyman, known as Martins, discussing alleged prior sexual ties with Anunobi and church leader Chikere Nwafor was circulated, sparking the conflict.
Public indignation was further stoked by unsubstantiated claims of homosexuality made against another male pastor during the session.
Okpe, who previously ordained Anunobi into ministry, later released a public apology, admitting the recording was “disturbing” and stating that he was “very embarrassed by those vulgar words”.
Reacting, Anunobi condemned the cleric, describing him as a “monumental global shame”.
In a detailed Instagram post, the 60-year-old preacher rejected Okpe’s claims, saying the allegations were false and had subjected her to “emotional trauma”.
She maintained that she has lived a celibate life since her ordination nearly 14 years ago, despite having been in relationships during that period.
“I want to state here categorically that in almost 14 years since I have been midwifed into ministry, I have been celibate and have been keeping myself for the man that will be deserving of my new virginity,” she said.
