Ajewole Olamilekan was sentenced to life in prison by an Ekiti State High Court in Ado Ekiti, but Omoyajowo Ayo was released and found not guilty of conspiracy and rape.
Judge Adekunle Adeleye arraigned Ajewole Olamilekan (age 33) and Omoyajowo Ayo (age 25) on two counts of charges that bordered on rape.
The charge reads that the defendants on 29th June, 2024 at Ayetoro Ekiti within the jurisdiction of the court “did conspire to rape a 10-year-old girl, contrary to Section 31(2) of the Child’s Rights Law, Cap.C7, Laws of Ekiti State 2012.”
O.B. Ayeleso, the prosecution, brought five witnesses and presented the defendant’s comments, medical report, medical records, CD-ROM, and Flash drive as evidence.

Ajewole Olamilekan defended himself by speaking via his attorney.
He exonerated the 2nd defendant (Omoyajowo Ayo), noting that she knew nothing about the occurrence.
“I find no inferred circumstance linking the second defendant (Omoyajowo Ayo) to commit rape with the first defendant; she is hereby acquitted and discharged,” Justice Adekunle Adeleye stated in his ruling.
