In Zagami village in Yankara Ward, Faskari Local Government Area, Katsina State, suspected bandits carried out a horrific raid on Wednesday night, murdering a number of locals and kidnapping several others, including women and children.
Security expert Bakatsine wrote on X on Thursday that the attackers broke into the community at about 8 p.m. and started shooting randomly.
Tragically, a three-day-old baby was reportedly killed during the raid, while the infant’s mother was abducted by the attackers.

Although the exact number of casualties and abductees remains unclear, residents described the incident as one of the most horrifying in recent weeks.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, but locals are calling for urgent intervention from security agencies to prevent further attacks in the area.
