Afrobeats singer Teni Makanaki has decried the cost of hiring security in the midst of the controversy between Wizkid and Burna Boy
Teni claimed she got calls telling her to employ bouncers after Burna Boy and DJ Tunez got into a fight.
She made light of the expense of upholding security in a video, claiming that they have a voracious appetite.
She also mentioned conflicts in other industries, like as Nollywood, and Afrobeats.
“I woke up to 57 missed calls from my loved ones advising me to hire Kizz Daniel’s bouncer. Wetin happen? I just dey see gbas gbos everywhere, na him my loved ones dey tell me say me wey be afrobeats musician make I go collect bouncer o.

Say if I know wetin good for myself make I go collect that type of Kizz Daniel bouncer. Abeg o. All those kinds of Kizz Daniel bouncer, them dey chop like one cow for one week.
“If I come get like 7 of the bouncers, na 7 cow I go dey buy per week. Bouncer go come dey chop my money pass me because say Afrobeats don scatter. I wan go to Nollywood but they dey f!ght for their too. Where I wan come go? Shay na football I wan start dey play? Everywhere don scatter, everywhere don burst like this”, she said in Pidgin.
All of Burna Boy’s music has been officially prohibited from appearing on the playlists of its members by the Nigerian DJ Association, or NDJ.
The announcement was made by the organization on Wednesday in response to the singer’s purported physical assault on DJ Tunez.
On Monday night, DJ Tunez was violently attacked by Burna Boy and his group at Obi’s House, a well-known weekly Afrobeats event in Lagos.
DJ Tunez was attacked for playing Wizkid’s songs and neglecting to play Burna Boy’s music at the event, according to a widely shared video.
The trending video, which captured DJ Tunez being beaten and kicked on the floor, sparked mixed reactions online.
However, reacting to the incident, the Nigerian DJ Association said it has delisted all Burna Boy’s songs from playlists pending the outcome of its investigation into the attack.
