Nigeria’s Flamingos have been crowned champions of the 2026 WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup after producing a convincing 4-0 victory over Togo in the final in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.
The Nigerian girls completed the tournament with a perfect record, winning all five of their matches while scoring 17 goals and conceding just twice.
Captain Chidera Harmony set the tone for the final, putting Nigeria ahead from the penalty spot in the 15th minute.
She returned to the spot 20 minutes later and made no mistake again, giving the Flamingos a two-goal cushion before the break.
Nigeria maintained its control after the restart and added a third goal in the 67th minute through Oluebube Umejiaku.
Togo struggled to find a way back into the contest as the Flamingos continued to dominate, with Oluwakemi Adegbuyi adding a fourth goal in the 90th minute.
The emphatic victory secured the WAFU-B title for Nigeria and brought a perfect end to a tournament in which the Flamingos remained unbeaten from start to finish.
