DJ Chicken was released on Tuesday after spending nearly two weeks in prison for threatening the life of Seyi Tinubu on social media
Announcing his freedom in a video on social media, the content creator who was seen with his lawyer said “I’m back oo, freedom at last.”
“God bless the Nigerian government, God bless Seyi Tinubu, and our president. I love you guys. It is not easy, my fans. People that are free don’t know what God has done for them. Freedom is good”, he said.
DJ Chicken was remanded in prison by a Lagos State Magistrate Court over a threat to kill President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.

In an internet video posted on July 12th, DJ Chicken declared that the president would not be able to win reelection in 2027 and promised to assassinate Seyi Tinubu if he did.
Rumours about DJ Chicken’s arrest appeared on social media two days after the video went viral.
However, content producer Tunde Perry confirmed DJ Chicken’s arrest during a livestream.
“DJ Chicken did a video that Tinubu can’t win the next election. Knowing fully well that Tinubu is the only Yoruba man contesting for the next presidential election in 2027. And said even if Tinubu wins, he will kill Seyi Tinubu. The president and his son are not responsible for his arrest but those close to the presidency did.”
The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has declared preparations to prosecute DJ Chicken in response to a slew of road accidents that have sparked worries about public safety.
The case follows reports that on November 1, 2025, Abiodun crashed into two motorcycles in Sagamu, Ogun State, seriously injuring a female passenger and a rider.
According to a statement sent by the government on its official X account, witnesses claimed that Abiodun attempted to leave the scene but was stopped by bystanders.
The ministry claims that DJ Chicken was involved in a third collision on Sunday in Lekki, Lagos State, barely avoiding pedestrians.
