Don Jazzy, the head of Mavin Records and a seasoned music producer, has talked candidly about the human costs of becoming the biggest star in Nigerian entertainment.
The 42-year-old said on the Echo Podcast that although he has no regrets about his professional path, he may have unintentionally destroyed his marriage.
Don Jazzy acknowledged that he never thought he would live into his 40s single when asked what he had to give up to achieve success.

“I never thought I’d be in my 40s and not married. Maybe that’s the one I lost along the way. If it comes, it comes. If it doesn’t, I’m totally fine,” he said.
Even if he weren’t a record label boss, the hitmaker, who has significantly influenced the careers of artists like Tiwa Savage, Rema, and Ayra Starr, noted that music would still be the focus of his job.

In July, Don Jazzy emphasised that, in spite of the compromises, he is extremely happy with his accomplishments in the music industry.
Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy has revealed he doesn’t have the strength of discipline to remain committed to one woman.
Speaking on The Nancy Isime Show, Don Jazzy explained that while some individuals can stay faithful once they’re attracted to someone. However, he struggles with that notion, admitting that he would still admire other women even when in a relationship.

Don Jazzy emphasised the importance of being truthful about his nature, acknowledging that his honesty might drive some people away.
“I don’t believe that I am strong enough to be with [only] one person. I think. People will run away from me being truthful. I will not be dating you and telling you that you’re the only person.
“Some people have the strength to be attracted to somebody [and no one else afterwards]. But for me, the fact that you’re a beautiful lady doesn’t stop me from admiring another woman. She is also beautiful,” Don Jazzy explained.
