Filmmaker Jade Osiberu announced the birth of her first kid, Moraraoluwa Jaiyeoba.

“I have been on many journeys in my life but the journey to becoming a mother has been the most humbling and life defining. God has shown me so much mercy and favor… To say I feel seen and loved by God would be an understatement… I feel like his favorite child.
“Moraraoluwa Jaiyeoba, may the Lord bless you, may the Lord keep you. May the Lord make you wise. Show you which way to go and watch over you. May the Lord grant you favour and give you peace. May the Lord be happy with you and may you rest in His love. He will sing and be joyful about you.”
In March, Lagos High Court approved the settlement terms between the Isale Eko Descendants’ Union (IDU) and the producers of Gangs of Lagos. This is because the film controversially portrays the Eyo Masquerade.
Gangs of Lagos was released on Amazon’s Prime Video on April 7, 2023. Directed by Jade Osiberu and produced by Kemi Lala Akindoju.
The film attracted backlash over the “defamatory depiction” of Isale Eko as a den of criminals. and the Eyo Masquerade as a gang of murderers.
The union took legal action and sought N10 billion in damages against Amazon and the film’s producers.
