Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to a contentious tweet cautioning Igbo men against marrying women from their own ethnic group.
Instead of having their Igbo spouses accuse them of raping their own daughter, the X user had advised Igbo men to travel to East Africa and choose a wife.
“Dear Igbo men, instead of marrying Igbo woman that’ll falsely accuse you of raping your daughter, better look outside for a wife… Go to East Africa, especially Rwanda and pick a damsel,” the X user wrote.
Responding, Genevieve Nnaji, who is an Igbo woman from Mbaise, Imo State, said, “In other words, instead of checking yourself and taking accountability, go for the unsuspecting and carry on with your evil. Got it.”
Some argued the tweet targeted false accusers, not all women, but Nnaji stood her ground, stressing the dangers of stereotyping:

“The same way a woman can’t tell an abusive man apart from a good one is the same way you shouldn’t say avoid all Igbo women. ‘Not all women,” she added.
Actress Regina Daniels has threatened to reveal Senator Ned Nwoko’s murder, fraud, and land grabbing cases to the world if he doesn’t leave her alone.
Regina accused the politician of years of intimidation, drug introduction, manipulation, and attempts to ruin her name in a post on her Instagram page.
Additionally, she claimed that Nwoko is attempting to destroy her both in public and personally because he knows that harming her reputation will jeopardise her ability to make a living.
The actress said that she had been confined since she was seventeen years old and that Nwoko had introduced her to ecstasy (Molly) to satisfy his sexual desire
She added that the drug made their sexual encounters wild, which she described as his preference, while alleging he relied on Viagra, causing frequent health scares.
“I rushed you to the hospital countless times. If you continue to harass me, I will expose your alleged crimes, including murder cases, land grabbing, and fraud. I have withheld such revelations only out of respect as the father of my kids,” she added.
