Guinness World Records is supporting celebrity cook Hilda Baci for attempting to break the record for the largest pot of jollof rice.
The international record organisation left a supportive comment on Hilda’s page, saying, “Best of luck, Hilda and team!”
The person who broke the record for the longest cooking marathon in 2023, Hilda Baci, will try to cook 250 bags of rice in one enormous pot.

Thousands of fans and supporters are set to attend the eagerly awaited event. It holds at Eko Hotels and Suites
Hilda Baci also shared an update on social media, writing:
“Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is squeaky clean! I rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself. In just a few hours, this same pot will carry thousands of servings of Nigerian Jollof history in the making.”

More than 20,000 people registered to attend the event. The event was originally planned for Muri Okunola Park but was moved to Eko Hotels due to overwhelming demand.
Speaking about the cooking process, she said, “I’m making the executive decision to cook 250 bags of basmati rice. The pot is 6 meters wide by 6 meters wide, 1.1 meters tall, and about 1.3 meters deep. I’m sure the pot is not going to sink.”
This came two years after Hilda Baci cooked for 93 hours 11 minutes to break the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has opened up about a very depressing heartbreak and how her pain inspired her tattoo.
She shared that she had to fly in the tattoo artist from Los Angeles to her house in Lagos because she didn’t want to express her pain publicly in a tattoo parlour.
Savage disclosed that the session was bloody and the tattoo artist was worried.
