One of the children of the late Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, aka Ogogo, Kira Taiwo, has released the messages she sent her father prior to his passing.
On Monday, she shared some of their conversations on her Instagram Story.
During the July 26 chat, Ogogo encouraged Kira Taiwo to maintain her strength.
He wrote, “How are you? I heard you are crying. Seeing you and your sisters smile is making me strong. If you cry, it will make me sad, and I will start to think.”
‘
The actor, who died at 66 years on Sunday added, “Be strong. I am strong. Nothing is going to happen to me, insha Allah. If you do, then don’t cry, my princess.”
In response, Kira insisted that she was not crying and assured Ogogo of her faith.

This development took place days after Kira revealed that her father was fighting stage four cancer.
It is said that attempts were made to get the actor medical care before his passing. Adeola Olamilekan, also known as Yayi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor of Ogun State, was one of those allegedly offering financial support.
Late Ogogo had received support from Nollywood actors and actresses after his daughters made a heartfelt plea for immediate medical attention during his fight with stage four cancer.
Leading the appeal for assistance was actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo, who asked Nigerians and medical professionals to help the family locate doctors and healthcare facilities that might assess Ogogo’s condition.
“Please let’s rally around our beloved Sir Taiwo Hassan, who is currently facing a serious health challenge, battling cancer.
“As shared by his family, they are NOT looking for money or financial support. What they urgently need is medical direction.
“If you know someone who knows someone in the oncology space, or a medical avenue that can assist, please help reach out to his family immediately,“ Adebayo wrote on X.
Actress Toyin Abraham also joined the campaign on Tuesday, sharing a video of Ogogo’s daughters on Instagram and appealing to those who could assist to contact the family.
“Pls kindly send dm to @kira_taiwo @limataiwo_ or me pls. Anyhow, anyone can help ejoor,” she wrote.
In a widely shared Instagram video on Monday night, Ogogo’s daughter Shaki Taiwo made a plea for her father’s medical care.
Shaki had disclosed that because of the seriousness of his condition, the hospital had halted his therapy.
With an acting career spanning over 40 years, Ogogo, 66, is one of the most well-known veterans of Yoruba cinema.
