Nigerian content creator and skit maker Sydney Talker has shared details of his celibate journey, stating that he has been abstaining for nearly four years.
In a video statement posted on his social media profile, the comedian stated that this month’s 27th will mark four years since he last shared a bed with a lady.
However, he acknowledged that the experience hasn’t been simple and gave thanks to God for his capacity for discipline.
“27th of this month will make it four years of celibacy for me. What I am trying to say is I have not slept on the same bed with a woman for the past four years. It has not been easy but I thank God,” he said.
Sydney Talker said he wished to continue his celibacy journey for as long as possible.

In March 2026, veteran Nigerian actor Abiodun Ayoyinka, famous for his role as Papa Ajasco, disclosed the difficulties he has encountered, despite being well-known.
In an interview with media personality Lucky Udu, Ayoyinka disclosed that the character’s trademark ownership has restricted his options outside of the well-known comedy franchise.
The actor claims that it is challenging for him to exploit the persona of Papa Ajasco for personal or business endeavours because the character is legally registered by Wale Adenuga’s production firm.
He said the restriction has prevented him from appearing in advertisements or brand campaigns, even though many companies want him to appear in the famous costume and persona.
“The major problem is that particular character has been registered by Wale Adenuga. Anybody that wants to use me outside wants me with the character, with everything that I have, but it has never been easy for me,” he said.
Ayoyinka explained that he does not have exclusive rights to use the name or costume associated with the character.
“I don’t have the right. Can’t use the name Papa Ajasco unless I go and take permission. I can’t even use the costume,” he said.
He added that the strong public association with the character has made it difficult for him to secure opportunities as himself.
