Nollywood actress and producer Laide Bakare has revealed that she will soon tie the knot for the third time.
Despite two unsuccessful marriages in the past, the movie star said it would be her first time getting married “officially” in a recent interview with content producer Akin Abolade.
“I will soon be getting married officially for the first time ever,” she said.
The actress disclosed that preparations for her wedding are already underway.
She, however, did not disclose the date of the wedding or the identity of her husband-to-be.
Laide Bakare has been married twice. Her first marriage was to US-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she shares a daughter, Simi. After their separation, she remarried Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012, and the union produced two sons.

However, she left her second marriage after Orilowo was reportedly declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2014 over alleged fraudulent activities.
In a previous interview on the Real Life With Aunty Ayo podcast, Laide Bakare said she is open to being married up to five times if prior unions don’t work.
In September 2025, Laide Bakare stated that she introduced her daughter to drinking and partying when she turned 17.
She made the revelation in an interview with a Mr Lilgaga, a content creator.
The actress claimed to like the fact that her daughter would credit her with introducing her to drink and nightlife.
“I took my daughter to the club for the first time at 17. And I like the fact that in her memoir, she would reference me as the person who introduced her to alcohol and clubbing,” she stated.
Reactions to Bakare’s disclosure were conflicted, with many criticising her for exposing her daughter to alcohol and the nightlife when she was still a juvenile.
