Troops of Forward Operating Base (FOB) Shendam in Plateau State have killed three suspected bandits and recovered arms and ammunition during a successful ambush operation between Teng and Kayarda villages in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was carried out around 2:00 p.m. on May 27, based on actionable intelligence to stop a planned attack by the bandits.
“Troops acting on credible intelligence laid an ambush along the route linking Teng and Kayarda villages. During the operation, they engaged the suspected bandits in a firefight, neutralised three of them, and recovered four AK-47 rifles, four magazines, and 56 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition,” the source said.
