Dr. Gabrielle Henry, Miss Jamaica, slipped off the stage during the Miss Universe pageant and was taken to the hospital.
During the Miss Universe preliminary evening gown round in Thailand on Wednesday, the Jamaican representative fell off the stage.
Gabrielle Henry was walking across the stage in a long orange gown when she fell off the stage, as seen in a social media video that went viral.
The clip from the pageant shows when she was being taken away from the venue to the hospital on a stretcher.
Confirming the incident, the Miss Universe Organisation in a statement on Wednesday disclosed that Henry is currently receiving treatment at Paolo Rangsit Hospital in Thailand.
Miss Universe President Raúll Rocha Cantú, who visited the hospital, said “Henry sustained minor wounds. She is receiving treatment at a hospital in Bangkok, where she will remain under observation overnight.”

Numerous Miss Universe 2025 contenders staged walkouts during the pre-pageant event in Thailand.
This happened after Nawat Itsaragrisil, an official from the host country of Thailand, allegedly made fun of their fellow competitor, Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch.
Nawat Itsaragrisil labelled Fatima Bosch “dumb” for neglecting to upload promotional content on her social media page, which sparked the incident.
Nawat contacted security when Bosch objected, threatening to disqualify her supporters.
Bosch left in response to the humiliation, and others joined in a demonstration of support.
Speaking in a viral video outside the venue, Bosch called Nawat Itsaragrisil’s actions “disrespectful” and “undermining” to women.
“As a country, you have all my respect. I truly love Thailand. I respect all of you. You are amazing people. But what your director did is not respectful. He called me dumb and said to me to shut up and other different things. I think the world needs to see this because we are empowered women. This is a platform for our voice.”
