Oba Rilwan Akiolu of Lagos has ruled out Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president, taking over as president of Nigeria.
According to Akiolu, Atiku, who has been running for president of Nigeria since 1992, is not favoured by fate.
The monarch revealed this to reporters at his Iga Iduganran Palace. This was part of the events to commemorate his 22 years on the throne,

Akiolu added that the rise of President Bola Tinubu was predetermined by God.
He urged Nigerians to help Tinubu realize his goals for the nation.
“The future belongs to God. But let me say it plainly: former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will never be President of Nigeria.
“Tinubu is compassionate and visionary, who would have believed he’d become president? He presented his certificate to me first after winning.
“Lagosians and Nigerians should support him to fulfil God’s purpose for the country.”
