Kankara LGA in Katsina state has been overrun by armed bandits under the leadership of kingpin Babaro.
In a post on his X account, security expert Bakatsine disclosed that the bandits had already killed many individuals and outlawed farming in the region.
“BREAKING: Bandits led by feared warlord, Babaro, seize control of Kankara LGA, Katsina State. Farming banned from Marabar Kankara to Yantumaki, dozens killed/kidnapped, healthcare collapsed.
Residents beg Gov Dikko Radda & FG for urgent intervention,” he wrote.

Kankara has long been a hotbed of terrorist attacks and kidnapping activities in Katsina state.
Authorities are yet to comment on the situation as at the time of filing this report.
