Boss Mustapha, the former secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), has denied the rumour that he switched from the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The explanation was provided by Mustapha in a statement on Sunday.
He emphasised that he has not had any conversations with opposition MPs or their coalition partners and called the claims “fake news.”
“My attention has been drawn to a news story in circulation associating me with the opposition alliance and their choice of the ADC as their political party.

“I want the general public to know that this is fake news. I am not in any opposition alliance, and I am not in any discussion with those who are involved,” he said.
He said he’s a principal founding father of the APC, adding that he could not walk away from the party he helped to form.
According to him, while the APC, like any political organisation, has its challenges, the solution is to work from within rather than defect to another platform.
He, therefore, called on the public to disregard any speculation suggesting otherwise.
