The Renewed Hope Youth Engagement (RHYE) has predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure a landslide victory in Plateau State during the 2027 general elections. The youth group pledged to mobilise young people across the state in support of Tinubu’s re‑election bid.

National Coordinator of RHYE, Hon. Abdulazeez Abubakar Kaka, made the declaration in Jos during the inauguration of the Plateau State Coordinating Unit. He said Tinubu’s administration has strengthened the financial capacity of states and boosted investment in infrastructure and development projects.

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, represented by Deputy Governor Mrs. Josephine Piyo, pledged the administration’s support for initiatives that empower youths and promote their participation in governance. He described the youth engagement platform as a credible initiative for encouraging leadership development, civic responsibility and constructive participation among young Nigerians.

Mutfwang stressed that the inauguration was not merely about political mobilisation but reflected a commitment to recognising youths as critical partners in nation‑building. He urged the coordinating unit to embrace service, integrity, innovation and inclusiveness, adding that the future of Plateau State is tied to the success and development of its youth population.

Plateau State Coordinator of RHYE, Wilson Manji, expressed confidence that Tinubu would secure overwhelming support from voters in 2027. He urged youths to embrace the Renewed Hope Agenda and actively participate in programmes focused on development, peace and good governance.

Renewed Hope Ambassador Hon. Ernest Abner Da’a defended Tinubu’s economic reforms, including fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange reforms. He acknowledged initial challenges but argued that the policies improved government revenues and enabled investment in infrastructure.

He cited ongoing road projects such as the Akwanga‑Jos‑Bauchi‑Gombe highway reconstruction as evidence of the Federal Government’s commitment to transportation, security and economic growth.

Abner called on support groups to remain united ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that unity and collective mobilisation are essential for victory.
