Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr has denied claims that her contract with Roc Nation, owned by Jay-Z, prohibits her from having a boyfriend or starting a family during the five-year deal.
The singer debunks the claims on X, questioning the validity of the report with a witty remark, “Does Ayra Starr know about this?”
She also reposted a tweet that read, “Them lie on top your head for broad daylight,” effectively calling out the report as false.
The rumours surfaced after Ayra Starr signed a management deal with Roc Nation, which aims to support her global career growth.
The singer’s response has been met with support from fans, who appreciate her confidence and direct approach in addressing baseless speculation.

In May, Ayra Starr became the first Nigerian female singer to hit 1 billion views on YouTube.
She has now beaten Yemi Alade’s record of the most viewed female artiste of all time on YouTube.
Ayra Starr overtook Alade’s record of 805 million views with 1 billion views.
Leading the list of views on the platform, Ayra Starr’s hit Grammy-nominated song ‘Rush’ garnered over 450 million views.
Following the new career feat, the singer joins her male colleagues, Burna Boy, Flavour, Wizkid, Davido, Rema, Ckay, Kizz Daniel, P-Square, Omah Lay, Fireboy and Tekno as the Nigerian artists to have surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube.

In April, Ayra Starr said she prays that her mother to listen to the second verse of her new collaboration with Wizkid, “Gimme Dat”
In her lyrics, she commanded a man to let her “survey” his private parts.
In her second verse of the song, which sampled Wyclef Jean and Mary J. Blige’s 2000 hit ‘911,’ Starr shared that a lot of men watch her for the wrong reasons, but she knows how to flip that gaze into power.
“So many people wan lick my stew, so baby chill make I survey your tools… and if I handle your 2 by 2, you fit to scream, you go lose your cool,” she sings.
The verse instantly caught the attention of listeners. While many commended her artistry, others criticised her delivery of the verse as being “too raw”.
