Afrobeat musician Davido has reacted after being banned from performing in Edo State.
Following his public banter with Monday Okpebholo, the governor of Edo State, on the just-concluded election in Osun State.
All Progressives Congress (APC) member Okpebholo attacked state governor Adeleke’s performance during the campaign for the party’s candidate in Osun, Bola Oyebamiji, claiming that his dance prowess was taking his attention away from government.
In response, Davido mocked Okpebholo’s academic standing and posted his WAEC scores on Instagram.

Following Adeleke’s election, Davido declared in an interview with News Central that he would never apologise to Okpebholo and that he had no right to disparage a sitting governor who was outperforming him.
The musician also urged the governor to prepare for him in an open letter posted on Instagram.

Earlier this month, Davido, has asserted that no one can defeat him in a free and fair election if he chooses to run for political office in Nigeria.
However, he stated that because Nigerian elections and the electoral body are crooked, he is not interested in running for any elective office.
Davido stated that he would concentrate on creating songs till there is election transparency in Nigeria during a recent broadcast with streamer Carter Efe.
The host asked: “Would you love to govern a state?”
Davido replied: “Nigeria wey dem dey write result? I no get time for all those ones. Because I no be all those ones wey you go cheat me, I go go sleep for house. I will do something to you If you cheat me.
“Let me just focus on my music until there is transparency then I can go ahead and contest for elective positions. Nobody can beat me in any election, never! In a free and fair election, I can win presidential election in Nigeria.
“But because of the system, there is no transparency, they write results. I waiting to see what they will do in the upcoming Osun gubernatorial election. We are wailing.”
