Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao has revealed that a blogger who shared her footage from the actor Odunlade Adekola’s father’s funeral has been arrested and charged.
In August, the actress faced harsh criticism after a video from the Otun Ekiti burial revealed her concealing and acting amusingly after mingling with Odunlade’s wife.
Critics accused her of having a romantic affair with the actor, while others analysed the video and said her actions showed guilt.
In an Instagram post, the actress denied the widely circulated rumours and called the accusation a ploy to damage her reputation.
But in a recent twist on Wednesday, the actress revealed on Instagram that Adabasioni Oluwafemi Aseoro, the blogger who uploaded the video, had been prosecuted and imprisoned for cyberbullying and defamation.

She also charged Adabasioni of editing the footage to fabricate a story for the internet.
“I can confirm the arrest and prosecution of a blogger, Adabasioni Oluwafemi Aseoro, for criminal defamation and cyberbullying under the Nigerian Cyber Crime Acts. The blogger went to make derogatory and unfounded claims against my person online, following my appearance at the burial of the father of my BOSS, Ambassador Odunlade Adekola.
“Adabasioni took videos of me, which was made by another party blogger with malicious intentions. He manipulated the video to suit his narrative online and achieve his trolling goal, I became subject of ridicule, and no one questioned the highly manipulated video. And I chose to respond for once by taking legal actions.
“He was detained for two weeks at Ikoyi Prison. He assassinated my character, and he paid for it in full!”.
In addition, Eniola Ajao posted a video of Adabasioni expressing regret to her and pleading with other bloggers to remove it.
