Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage as Tems, has disclosed the career path she would have taken had she not entered the music business.
Tems revealed that if she hadn’t been a musician, she would have become an accountant or a maths teacher during a Tuesday interactive session with fans on X.
“If music didn’t work, what else do you think you would be doing today?,” a fan asked.
Tems responded, “I might have been an accountant or a mathematics teacher.”

The multiple Grammy-winning singer has previously revealed that she quit her job as a digital marketer in January 2018 to focus on her music career.
She released her debut single ‘Mr Rabel’ in July 2018. The song gained some traction in Nigeria. However, she rose to prominence after being featured on Wizkid’s 2020 single ‘Essence’, which peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart following the release of the remix version with Justin Bieber.

Afrobeats singer Davido’s first baby mom, Sophia Momodu, has responded to a slew of internet remarks directed against her daughter, Imade Adeleke, calling them intentional lies regarding the child’s welfare.
Sophia clarified in a thorough Snapchat post that she has never prevented her 10-year-old from seeing her father and that she placed a high value on her safety and regular routines.
Anyone who has met Imade in person can attest to the fact that she is a content, healthy, and well-rounded child, according to her.
She claims to have been Imade’s principal carer for the previous five years and to have personally paid for almost all of the child’s costs.
The only exception has been school fees, which Davido’s father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, has covered for the last three years.
She claimed that she has never received formal child support from Davido, yet Imade lacks nothing and is growing up in a stable, loving environment.
Sophia also revealed that she recently waived all outstanding child support payments and relinquished any future claims, taking on complete financial responsibility for Imade.
