Lisa Mutambo, a 25-year-old model and influencer from Zambia, has died.
The deceased passed on after allegedly throwing up and losing consciousness at her home. The sad event occurred in the Kalundu neighbourhood of Lusaka after spending the night out with friends.
According to the Chelstone Police Station of the Zambia Police Service, the event was reported at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, and Mutambo died at Victoria Hospital between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m.
Chipo Kaitisha, a police constable spokeswoman, claims that Mutambo spent the evening of 19 August at a hotel where she worked as an ambassador with two female companions.
After leaving the hotel at around 10:30 p.m., the three women continued to mingle at another Lusaka bar.
According to police, Mutambo’s boyfriend picked up the three women between 2:30 and 3:00 in the morning, dropped off the two companions in the Minestone/Casanova neighbourhood, and then drove Mutambo to the Kalundu home.

Mutambo allegedly began vomiting as soon as he got to the house before losing consciousness.
After that, her partner got in touch with a friend who helped transport her to Victoria Hospital, where she was declared dead.
The Zambia Police Service said in a press statement: “The Zambia Police Service, through Chelstone Police Station, received a report of a sudden death involving a 25-year-old female identified as Lisa Mutambo.”
Police said officers processed the primary and secondary scenes. At the same time, the body was initially deposited at FSG Mortuary before being transferred to the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
The police said no physical injuries had been observed on Mutambo’s body, as authorities addressed social media claims that she had been beaten to death by her boyfriend.
