Nathaniel Bassey, a well-known gospel singer, has cautioned married men against having extramarital affairs with unmarried women, claiming that doing so will have serious repercussions.
The 44-year-old musician warned married men who trick young women and lead them on under false pretences in a now-viral video of him addressing a congregation.
He emphasised that his warning was serious and that anyone responsible will face the repercussions of their conduct.

“If you’re a married man and you go about deceiving young girls, leading them on. Some even go as far as sleeping with them,”
“I place a demand on the grace of God upon my life. If you try it this year, you won’t survive. Your shame will not be forgotten. It will be on social media,” Bassey said.
Bassey also warned against secret hotel meetings, adding that married men who lie about their marital status would face public disgrace.

“If you take a woman to a hotel, you lie; meanwhile, if you are married, you will not come out of that hotel. If you like, take what I’m saying jokingly,” he added.
The gospel singer, who is widely known for the Hallelujah Challenge, also issued a strong warning to women who knowingly engage in relationships with married men, saying material benefits would not shield them from consequences.
“You too, you are a lady. If you know that a man is married and you know it in your heart, but because of greed, attention, Brazilian wigs, Brazilian hair, or designer bags, you choose to go ahead if you try it, you won’t survive it,” he warned.
Bassey urged both men and women to act with integrity and uphold moral values, emphasizing accountability in relationships.
